Privacy Policy

Last updated: 23 June 2026

This Privacy Policy explains how Auto Labs Performance Centre (“Auto Labs”, “we”, “us”, “our”), owned and operated by James Garzia of Factory 18/99 Bald Hill Rd, Pakenham VIC 3810, handles your personal information. We handle personal information in line with the Australian Privacy Principles (APPs) under the Privacy Act 1988 (Cth).

By using this website or placing an order with us, you agree to the collection and use of your information as described here.

What we collect

We only collect the information we need to sell to you and run our business. That can include:

  • Your name, email address and phone number;
  • Your billing and shipping address;
  • Order and purchase history;
  • Details of any enquiry you send us;
  • Website usage data — pages visited, device and browser type, and approximate location — collected automatically through cookies and analytics (see “Cookies & analytics” below).

How we collect it

We collect most information directly from you — when you place an order, contact us by phone or email, or fill in a form. Some information is collected automatically when you browse the site, through cookies and analytics tools.

Why we use it

  • To process, fulfil and deliver your orders;
  • To respond to your enquiries and provide customer support;
  • To process payments and refunds;
  • To keep records and meet our legal and tax obligations;
  • To improve our website and the products we offer.

Marketing: we currently only send you messages directly related to your order (order confirmations, shipping updates and replies to your enquiries). We do not send marketing newsletters. If that ever changes, we will only do so with your consent and every message will include a way to unsubscribe, as required by the Spam Act 2003 (Cth).

Cookies & analytics

Like most websites, we use cookies — small files stored on your device — to make the site work, remember your cart, and understand how the site is used. We may use analytics tools such as Google Analytics and a Meta (Facebook) pixel to measure traffic and improve the site. These tools may collect information such as your IP address, pages viewed and general location.

You can control or delete cookies through your browser settings, and you can opt out of Google Analytics using Google’s browser opt-out add-on. Blocking some cookies may affect how parts of the site work, including the cart.

Who we share it with

We do not sell your personal information. We share it only where needed to run the business:

  • Shopify — our online store and checkout platform;
  • Couriers and Australia Post — to deliver your order;
  • Analytics providers — Google and Meta, as described above;
  • Government, legal or regulatory bodies — where we are required to by law.

Overseas storage

Some of our providers (including Shopify and our analytics tools) store data on servers outside Australia, including in the United States. Where this happens, we take reasonable steps to ensure your information is handled with appropriate protections.

How we protect & keep it

We take reasonable steps to protect your personal information from misuse, loss and unauthorised access. We keep it only as long as we need it for the purposes above, or as required by law (for example, tax records), and then take reasonable steps to delete or de-identify it.

Accessing & correcting your information

You can ask us what personal information we hold about you, ask us to correct it, or ask us to delete it where we are not required to keep it. Just email info@autolabs.net.au. We’ll respond within a reasonable time.

Complaints

If you have a concern about how we’ve handled your personal information, please contact us first and we’ll do our best to put it right. If you’re not satisfied, you can contact the Office of the Australian Information Commissioner (OAIC) at oaic.gov.au.

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. The current version is always the one published on this page, with the “last updated” date shown above.
