In stock now · Australian made · Max 4-week turnaround · Going fast
The 6R80 deep cast pan is ready.
Cast and machined in Dandenong, twenty minutes from the workshop. Order yours and it ships inside four weeks at the outside — often sooner if a batch is already on the bench. Get in touch and I'll confirm stock before you pay a cent.
"I've been rebuilding 6R80s long enough to know every weak point on the factory pan."
No drain plug. No temp sender port. Magnetic catch the size of a thumbnail. Marginal fluid volume the second you hook up a trailer or sit in summer traffic. I got sick of pulling pans to change fluid on cars I'd serviced two years earlier, so I designed one that fixed the lot.
Demand on these has been ridiculous. I cast fifty a month at TP Castings in Dandenong and workshops are buying them by the pallet. They go out the door fast — worst case you wait four weeks from your order, usually less. Message me first and I'll tell you exactly where stock sits.

Everything the factory pan should have been.
- +Drain plug + temp sender portService it yourself. Run a fluid temp gauge. Stop guessing.
- +3.5L extra capacity + cooling finsMore fluid + more surface area = lower steady-state temps.
- +Two internal magnet postsRetains both factory magnets. Three places for shavings instead of one.
- +Thicker casting + new hardwareRevised Aus-made casting is thicker. Every bolt and gasket in the box.
- +Premium DIY install bookletClear photos, plain English. Do it in your driveway on a Saturday.
Cast in Dandenong. Patented in my name.
The first small run came from a supplier who told me they were Aus-made. They weren't. When demand picked up and they started quoting me sea freight, I cut them out, paid for the patent here, and moved everything to TP Castings in Dandenong — twenty minutes from the workshop.
The revised pan is slightly thicker, picked up a second internal magnet post, and is legally patented in my name. I'm paying more to make them here. The price hasn't moved.
If you bought one believing it was Aus-made and you'd rather have the patented Aus-made version, reach out. I'll change your pan for free. You backed the business — I'm backing you. Get in touch and mention the swap — I'll sort it.

20L drum of premium transmission fluid — one drum covers any option with a bit in hand. The right fluid for a deep pan + filter change. Helps lower temps, cleans the internals while it runs, improves clutch grab. Add it to your order in the shop.
The 10-speed pan is coming.
The deep cast pan for the 10R80 10-speed auto is in motion — same drain plug, temp sender port, extra capacity and cooling fins that fixed the 6-speed, sized for the 10-speed box. It's not ready just yet, but it's on the way. Want first dibs when it lands? Get on the list.
The factory 10R80 pan is plastic — it warps over time and is prone to pin-hole weeping. A cast aluminium pan can't warp and won't weep. That's the whole point.
- + Same upgrades as the 6-speed, sized for the 10R80
- + Cast aluminium — no warping, no pin-hole weeps
- + Australian made
Both styles — the 6-speed and 10-speed bypass valves. Real parts, machined billet aluminium.
Billet bypass valves. Drop the temps.
The factory thermal bypass valve holds fluid back from the cooler until the transmission is already warm — which is exactly when you don't want it running hot. These machined billet valves force the fluid through the external cooler sooner and keep steady-state temps down. Heat kills automatics. This is one of the cheapest ways to fight it.
- + 10-speed (10R80) — machined and ready to go, in stock now
- + 6-speed (6R80) — also available, same job for the 6-speed box
- + Billet aluminium, machined in-house at Auto Labs
- + Fit it yourself or have it done at the workshop
